Graphic 45
Tropical Travelogue
Altered Umbrella
'Escape'

Hello dear G45ers!
Sharing an Altered Umbrella featuring the gorgeous
Tropical Travelogue Deluxe Collector's Edition!
Love the vibrant colors in this collection they
are so pretty and gives you that tropical beach feel.
Perfect for a Tropical Island theme!

Herewith the Supplies and Instructions you
may use to recreate such a project:

Other Supplies:
Umbrella
Silhouette (optional)
Various other dies
Watercolor Paper
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
Chipboard Pieces
Ranger Embossing Powders White & Tea Rose
White Eyelets
Black Paint
Heavy Body Gel
Glossy Accents
Rhinestones and Flat Back Pearls
String and Sequins
Ribbon

Cut 16 pieces from the collection sheets and adhere
them with heavy body gel. Back and front. Leave to dry.
I used my Silhouette (optional) as a guideline
for the shapes. I cut them using a
random umbrella picture.
Tip: Cut the pieces from scrap paper first to make
sure they fit the umbrella.

Adhere the rhinestones with glossy accents, leave to dry.
Paint the handle and inner piece with black paint.

Cut a few die cut shapes
 (leaves, flowers, butterflies, doilies)
using the G45 dies and various other dies
from black cardstock and the collection sheets.

Cut a few flowers from black cardstock and
collection sheets. Layer the small flowers
onto the black flowers. Add a flat back pearl to
the centre of each flower.
Tip: Only add a dab of glue to the middle of
each flower so that you can curl the sides
up giving the flowers some dimension.

Cut 2 flowers from watercolor paper and
run them through your die cutting machine
using the dots embossing folder. Randomly
colour the pieces with colorbox inks.
Tip: Ink the edges with black ink.
This will make the colours on the flowers pop.

Heat emboss the chipboard pieces with
embossing powders.
(I removed the title from the arrow).

Add eyelets through the holes of the chipboard
pieces. Add ribbon to the handle of the
umbrella and a one chipboard element.

Happy Papercrafting!
